Are you ready to join the forefront of innovation in wide format printing technology? Agfa is seeking a dynamic Global Field Service Engineer to take our global install base to new heights.
As a Global Field Service Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for resolving technical escalations from our worldwide install base. You'll provide remote and on-site support, ensuring our digital printing systems are operating at peak performance.
You collaborate closely with our engineering team to validate the performance and serviceability of our latest products. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering training programs, covering everything from new product releases to beginner training for engineers and customers.
Tasks
You manage and support escalations from the global service team, collaborating with various departments to provide day-to-day support for the Jeti and Tauro printing machines.
You partner with our engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve system quality issues in the field. You'll also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and reporting them back to improve service quality.
You move on-site to address escalations, conduct field tests, install control sites, and support trade shows. You provide on-site support and meet the demands of the field.
You manage and coordinate the creation of technical documents, manuals, and customer guides, collaborating with different departments to ensure timely releases. You develop and manage training programs, offering comprehensive printer training to our service engineers.
You provide spare parts support, produce and update part number schematic drawings, and collaborate with the supply chain for recommendations. Keep the field informed of updates and new spare parts using our parts web tools.
You identify and test product upgrades and fixes, and effectively document and communicate technical updates.
You support, validate, and communicate new product releases, working closely with our engineering team from the design phase to release and support.
You report issues to Software/Engineering (EPL) and quality control issues to Manufacturing (PIT).
You assist in researching, writing, reviewing, and deploying system documentation.
You develop and produce instructional videos on technical system procedures and updates.
Profile
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience in field service or a related technical role
Comprehensive knowledge of the Inkjet product line
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel worldwide on a regularly basis
Exceptional research and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks
Strong customer relation skills
Self-motivated and proactive
Able to work both individually and as part of a team
