Fixed Access Engineer

Working in the Fixed Access team
As a fixed access engineer you will be part of the Telenet Fixed Access Engineering team that is constantly working with cutting edge and diverse fixed technology. The main responsibilities of the team are situated on the platforms delivering services over the optical and HFC network.

As a fixed access engineer, you will follow-up on technology evolutions in the access network, more specific the DOCSIS and PON domains to sustain capacity growth and improve the quality of experience for Telenet, Telenet business and wholesale customers. 

Help with Designing and testing the CCAP and OLT platforms including Data, Video and Voice services or other features requested by the business. Document acceptance testing to support new products and services on the CCAP and OLT platforms and edit the high- and low-level design towards operational team.

  • Follow up on feature request and bug fixes in cooperation with other engineering teams, operational teams and suppliers
  • Testing and implementation of new features and services resulting in high level and low level design documentation updates

  • Your skills

  • Clear Communication: You are an excellent communicator and can bring people together
  • Writing Skills: Excellent English documentation writing skills
  • Experience: You have knowledge of IP networks, python scripting, test automation & network design from your education or equivalently build up from working experience.
