Director, Mechanical Simulation Business Development

About the role

This role is part of the Simulation &Test Solutions (STS) product Segment organization. This position is to lead theMechanical simulation business development team, which includes the Simcenter3D, Simcenter Femap & Simcenter Nastran products. The team has three keyresponsibilities:

Supporting and guiding go-to-market(direct, in-direct & digital) for the Mechanical Simulation solutions. Thisincludes developing content for industry-based sales & marketing campaigns,enabling the sales organization, providing guidance of where to focus;

Provide input to product strategy androadmap by identifying market opportunities, competitive intelligence,customers requirements.

Engage with strategic accounts, includingrunning Customer Advisory Councils, and working with lead customers to incubatenew solutions or offerings.

Other responsibilities of the team includeattending and presenting at conferences, supporting Siemens run events,analyzing business performance, working with partner companies &Universities.

Up to 25% travel.

Candidate requirements:

  • A detailed knowledge of the industrial use of Mechanical simulation (such as structural, acoustics, motion, thermal, electromagnetics), with Simcenter or competitor solutions.
  • Previous experience using or leading teams who perform mechanical simulation.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience in sales, technical sales or business development for simulation
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, including proficient English language
  • Strong networking and teamwork skills, able to thrive in a diverse, global organization
  • Analytical mind able to provide strategic insight and direction
  • Your qualifications

  • Engineering or Science degree.
  • MBA (optional).
  • Location: Several Location Available. (Europe & Americas)
