Data Engineer

 We are seeking talented and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team in Antwerp. You will be responsible for data comparisons, investigations, data mining, quality assurance, and the setup of robust data structures. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Conduct in-depth data comparisons and investigations to extract meaningful insights.
•Utilize data mining techniques to identify patterns, trends, and correlations within datasets.
•Implement quality assurance measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
•Design data models to facilitate effective data analysis and reporting.
•Configure data cubes using Visual Studio for enhanced visualization and analysis.
•Move and manage data in the cloud, optimizing storage and accessibility.
•Collaborate with the business to set up dataflows and leverage live tabular cubes.
•Combine diverse data sources, including cubes, SQL Server, SharePoint Online, SSRS, API’s, etc.
•Implement new features on Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
•Review business flows with stakeholders to create insightful reports.
•Drive process improvements using Power BI reports, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate.
•Actively contribute to enhancing business processes and data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related 
•Hands-on experience with Power BI for creating compelling visualizations and analytics.
•Proven experience in BI and data analysis
•Expertise in performing critical data assessments for evaluating data quality, accuracy, and relevance.
•Expertise in SQL querying, including the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and reporting.
•Good understanding of statistical thinking, including awareness of biases, pitfalls, and appropriate aggregations.
•Familiarity with Big Data tools and analysis techniques for handling and processing large volumes of data.
•Experience with (Azure) DataBricks for scalable and collaborative data analytics and processing is preferred.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions
•Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
•Ability to speak and write English fluently is required in this role
