Business Intelligence Analyst, Receivables Risk
About the Team/Role:
This role contributes directly to the organization’s mission of developing and maintaining robust risk frameworks supporting WEX’s revenue, credit loss, receivables management inclusive of cash application, and collections objectives. We are looking for a collaborative player who is able to help optimize our receivables management and collections strategies. Working closely with collections and cash application leadership, the workforce manager, and business process analyst, you will be responsible for the creation of data analytics that result in the implementation of collections, charge-off mitigation and recovery strategies and driving automation.
How you'll make an impact
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and receivables risk data, generating reports and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Connect the dots between business problems and data to produce innovative, data-driven insights.
Leverage analytics to drive operational improvements that lead to productivity enhancements, a better internal and external customer experience in Collections and Recovery as well as Cash Application.
Produce robust KPI reporting and identify trends, patterns and anomalies that will drive decisioning
Design and implement data driven strategies that transform processes to enable efficiency and scale.
Develop thorough analysis and understanding, deliver insights to the organization that optimize revenue and risk.
Collaborate with cross-functional data science teams to build machine learning models to solve Risk problems.

Create a data analytical approach to measuring collections outcomes and being able to support champion-challenger testing of different operational strategies

Experience you'll bring
BS or MS degree in relevant area (Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Risk Management)
Operations and Industrial Engineering training / certification highly desirable
Data Management Skills (SQL, Data Lake, Tableau, SnowFlake, Python, etc)
Proven technical capability in Data Management (SQL, Relational Databases, Data Warehousing
Results driven, action oriented and self-motivated
Superior critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
Collaborative style
Passionate about data and data-driven decisions
Ability to present data and concept effectively in written, presentation and verbal formats
Highly motivated, proactive and innovative
Proven track record of delivering solutions with significant business impact
Thrives in a fast paced, goal oriented, dynamic organization with time sensitive deadlines
Must successfully pass a background investigation.
Preferred Competencies
Experience using Robotics Process Automation solutions
Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Solutions.
Experience in a Global Company focusing on Technology, Payments Technology or Software Development is desirable.
Data Science Techniques
Strong project management skills, including stakeholder timelines and meeting management skills
Develop and maintain a network of contacts and external partnerships to achieve key business and organizational objectives.
Thorough working knowledge of operations leading practices
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and meeting facilitation/ presentations

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
