In order to reach the objectives in a new but fast growing and technology evolving market, Plastic Omnium has set up a dedicated Division “New Energies division” focusing on Hydrogen Storage, Fuel Cell Stack and Integrated Hydrogen Systems.
For our location of Genk, we are searching for a Laboratory Technician.
MISSION
• Support the activities related to the tuning, evaluation, validation and certification of products from New Energies research & development projects in the field of High Pressure Systems
• Guarantee the satisfaction of the projects
• Guarantee the 0 accident
• Participate to the development of test means and laboratory equipment
• Participate to the know-how capitalization in Laboratory competences
PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES
Prepare and execute specfic technical trials requested by project teams, under the supervision of laboratory engineer – validation engineer or laboratory manager
Prepare and analyze requested trials in close collaboration with the requester
Propose adequate trial means, always caring about safety and efficiency of proposed solution
Manage and execute those trials while respecting the deadlines fixed by the laboratory team
Contribute to data analysis by writing the trial reports
Analyze trials data and highlight potential anomalies
Ensure correct data treatment, provide data synthesis and write final report in English language
Ensure smooth operation of trial benches related to his/her activities
Manage and understand perfectly the benches operations and their related means
Always care about their optimal usage
Propose improvements, maintain quality working documentation, follow calibrations, manage maintenance planning and operations, ensure cleanliness of benches and working areas
Contribute to operation procedures and modus operandi of working benches, including LOTO procedures
Respect all rules, instructions and quality and safety procedures
Understands and maintain up-to-date her/his knowledge of procedures, particularly internal quality process and safety rules
Respect rules and provide feedback when deviations are observed
Propose continuous improvements of processes and products
Increase her/his knowledge in order to satisfy laboratory and business unit needs
Provide feedback about potential training needs to her/his manager
Show scientific curiosity about New Energies related topics
Contribute to the development of team spirit on a collaborative mode
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
Bachelor technician in mechanics, electro mechanics, chemical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience
Job Technical skills
Good PC knowledge and associated software tools (emails/office,…). Programming skills in VBA, Labview or other languages are a plus
Good knowledge of electricity principles, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics (high pressure are a plus) , data acquisition, PI&Ds and CAO/CAD knowledge
Good verbal and written English communication. Other languages are a plus
