Technical Project Manager

Description Overview

  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to resolve complex product development/manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain current product manufacture by providing technical support to internal and third party departments.
  • Lead technology transfer projects to contract manufacturing organisations.
  • Liaise across all business functions to promote effective delivery of business goals
  • Develop solid relationships with customers and service providers
  • Review and propose continuous improvements both internally and externally
  • Scope of the Role

  • Plans and manages projects involving modifications/upgrades/technology transfer products within the outsourced manufacturing supply chain. 
  • Gathers, evaluates and analyses a wide variety of data and information to support external technical operation function. Conducts studies relating to a variety of technical operation activities. 
  • Maintain current product manufacture by providing technical support to internal and third party departments. Providing expert advice, review and approval of changes, documentation approval and management.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure the all regulatory and internal company procedures are adhered to.
  • The job holder must remain compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). SOP’s specific to this job role can be identified via the company Learning Management System. The SOPs are referred to in the Company Quality Manual; this and controlled copies of all SOPs are available for inspection at all Quality stations throughout the Company and via the company Learning Management System
  • In compliance with the Perrigo Safety Policy and Procedures, to ensure a health and safety culture is supported in the areas for which the job holder is responsible. This will be achieved through objectives, motivation, education and training, and ensuring that any team member not complying with safety performance standards is dealt with appropriately. The job holder will set a personal example in relation to safety practice and ensuring that reporting staff are adequately trained for the task they are asked to undertake, including use of control measures and PPE
  • To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time in order to support the Perrigo business.
  • Experience Required

  • Degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
  • Three plus years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry process validation, formulation development or analytical chemistry
  • Knowledge of an experience with technology tools to support the business including excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to make effective contributions to meetings with all personnel at all levels within the organization.
  • Organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks, as well as effectively communicate written and verbal information with the appropriate sense of urgency

  • Goal-orientated and driven to achieve results to agreed timescales.
