Tech Strategy &Transformation Analyst - Lead
About the Team/Role
It’s a really exciting time to be part of Office of the CTO at WEX - we’re growing our strategy, agility, operations and enablement teams in order to build the platforms of the future. You’ll be in the thick of the action, helping define our transformation strategy and outline how we drive growth and deliver products that delight our internal and external consumers. The Technology Strategy Manager will work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technology innovation, lead the development of technology automation and AI strategy, facilitate competitive benchmarking across our key strategies, initiatives and metrics, lead development of our metrics strategy and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact
Partner closely with Tech Strategy & Transformation lead and VP of Tech Innovation & Strategic Operations to articulate a comprehensive strategy for WEX Technology
Support prioritizing innovation, rationalizing the portfolio and appropriately aligning with the broader investment strategy with the goal of contributing to modernization and productivity
Own development of all board and executive content across WEX Technology
Develop and maintain a consolidated strategic view of WEX’s technology modernization and AI strategy
Lead the technology transformation strategic planning and tracking outcomes
Own and drive development of AI strategy, priorities and governance, laddering to WEX’s overall strategy and goals
Recommend outcome measurement to ensure progress against goals across key tech initiatives
Develop and continuously improve executive governance structure and best practices across all lines of businesses within technology
Be an internal subject matter expert on capitalization processes and tools and partner closely with finance to ensure the inputs and outputs are sufficient for leadership to make funding decisions and determine the “right bets” for our organization
Serve as a servant leader to Technology and Digital Senior leadership and Executive Leadership Team
Experience you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) from an accredited institution. (MBA Preferred) with 6+ years of experience within Technology or financial services strategy; consulting experience a plus.
Will take 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Financial acumen and experience or coursework in finance, accounting, or related area strongly preferred
Able to “deep dive” into the details and the business while staying focused on the big picture and “connecting the dots”
Not afraid to challenge the status quo; exhibit a mindset of creativity, innovation, and an energetic drive to succeed
Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and stakeholders on complex technology and business topics
Keen ability to summarize detailed qualitative information with high fidelity and translate complex information into key takeaways for easy consumption
Dexterous multitasker who thrives executing against multiple workstreams and enjoys a fast-paced environment and continuous change
Strong verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
