Functieomschrijving

The Senior Process Safety Engineer willbe responsible for ensuring that all process safety requirementsare met during the design, construction, and operation of processfacilities. This position will focus on identifying and assessingpotential process safety hazards and risks, developing andimplementing process safety policies and procedures, and providingtechnical support to the project teams.

• Fully aware of the Project HESrequirements, ensuring that all Company requirements, standards andguidelines are followed and implemented.
• To ensure that HES is considered as firstpriority and lead by example.
•To support the Project Managers and the Project Teams by reviewingand completing Project HES in design plans anddeliverables.
• Ensure theoutcome of HES studies and contractual agreements are incorporatedin the Project HES in design plan.
• To actively participate in project riskassessment sessions with focus on design, constructability andconstruction activities.
• Toprepare HES technical specifications andprocedures.
• To support otherdisciplines in terms of HES topics.
• Coordinate with other members of the projectteam, including engineers, designers, and operations personnel, toensure that process safety requirements are incorporated into thedesign and construction of processfacilities.

Functie-eisen

• Education in an engineering disciplineis required.
• Being familiarwith and capable to lead Process Safety studies as required (HAZOP,LOPA, etc.).
• A ProcessEngineering background is a requirement.
• Min. 15 years of relevant experience in HES indesign phases in large CAPEX projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations andstandards, such as NFPA and API.
• Experience with process safety management andrisk assessment methodologies in a projectsetting.
• Ability to workindependently and as part of a project team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities.
• Demonstrate a goodunderstanding of International standards and practices applicableto all safety critical elements.
• Excellent understanding of Health, Environmentaland Safety legislation along with its relevance in the chemicalprocess industry/ construction industry.
• Willingness to travel in an internationalenvironment.
• Excellentcommunicator with a respectful no nonsenseapproach.
• Immediatelyavailable full-time until mid-October. After October half time fora longer period.
