We are hiring immediately for a Senior Process Engineer – a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

What you’ll do:
Produce/ review process designs for fuel gas conditioning systems, high- and low gas pressure reduction systems and associated infrastructure for Aggreko gas power sites.
Produce designs for temperature control, steam heating and exhaust gas waste heat recovery systems for Aggreko power sites.
Develop innovative project specific systems around fuel processing and temperature control to meet client requirements.
Produce P&ID’s, Process flow diagrams, layout drawings, equipment specifications and other engineering design deliverables.
Size and specify relief valves, heat exchangers, two and three phase separators, heaters, pumps, compressors, piping and other process equipment.
Produce detailed costing sheets for developed process systems to ensure accurate bids.
Be conversant with explosive atmosphere design, produce hazardous area calculations and maps to IGEM SR 25 and BS EN 60079-10. Provide information and specification of equipment to design teams for equipment selection.
Lead and take part in Hazard and Operability studies (HAZOP) to BS EN 61882.
Be conversant with the following codes. API RP 521, NACE-MR0175, UK Gas IGEM Standards
Produce heat and mass balance diagrams using industry standard software (UNISIM, HYSYS, DWSIM) etc to understand phase envelopes of rich, wet fuel gases. Be able to develop process systems to modify the fuel gas composition, pressure, temperature etc to meet the requirements at the engine inlets.
Perform pressure loss calculations for pipe networks and fuel storage systems.
Ensure compliance to relevant pressure systems directives e.g., PED, ASME as required, dependant on site location for pressure vessels, piping, boilers etc.
Provide technical support for the central and regional operations teams. Establish a reputation for sound technical advice with the Areas by working with them, from time to time, on their sites worldwide.
We’re experts, which means you’ll have the following skills and experience:
Experience with gas plant design desired
Minimum degree or equivalent qualification or experience in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering.
Software Experience
AutoCAD
Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD systems)
H&MB (HYSYS, UNISIM, DWSIM)
Mathcad
Experience in piping and pipe network designs
Experience in Python Programming preferred.
Experience in a power generation environment with exposure to both gas and liquid fuelled installations
Understanding of Engineering processes and appreciation of the commercial constraints.
Ability to work effectively under pressure. Driven for results and sufficiently organised to be involved in several projects producing good quality work on time and within cost budget.
Breadth of vision to balance the needs of reliability, maintainability, and efficient performance within the commercial and packaging constraints. Ability to understand the needs of the end user.
Able to travel worldwide when required.
Flexibility to deal with fluctuating workload and a wide variety of problems from several sources. Capable of multi-tasking effectively.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude to engineering challenges, and flexibility to cope effectively with changes to specifications or priorities.
