Senior MEP Project Director for Data Center Deployment ️
Location: Hybrid (50% remote, 50% on-site in Belgium, with bi-weekly travel)
Compensation: Up to 130K € annually
About the Role: We are embarking on a high-profile data center deployment project in Belgium and are in search of a seasoned Senior MEP Project Director to lead this endeavor. The ideal candidate will oversee a multifaceted team, serving as the crucial link among various project participants, ensuring coordination, execution, and monitoring of all project phases. This role is pivotal in adhering to all regulatory and safety standards, technical requirements, and quality assurances associated with the data center's deployment.
As the guarantor of the project's success, you will be responsible for maintaining progress within the designated budget and timelines, working closely with an essential internet stakeholder to ensure organizational and operational excellence.
Your Activities:
- Analyze project specifications and constraints to set objectives, costs, and timelines in alignment with the project manager.
- Develop and track detailed schedules, managing budgets and optimizing expenses in collaboration with site supervisors.
- Risk management and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with data center standards and certifications such as ANSI/TIA-942, ISO/IEC 20000, and ISO 50001.
- Organize site operations, including execution procedures, testing, and commissioning, while coordinating technical and human resources.
- Implement assembly methodologies in agreement with contractual requirements, setting up the organizational structure and site offices for efficient project and site management.
- Engage in project preparation with various services and participants, ensuring adherence to organizational and standard compliance.
- Conduct analyses, qualify installations, and propose solution improvements, compiling progress reports, minutes, and evaluations.
Start Date: By September 2024
Location: Hybrid model with 25%-50% remote work and 75%-50% on-site presence in Belgium (one week on, one week off).
Remote Work: The position requires 75%-50% on-site presence in Belgium, with the remainder of the activities conducted remotely.

About You: We seek a candidate with proven experience in managing large-scale projects and data center deployments. This position demands a strong grasp of data center operations, autonomy, and initiative. Technical knowledge and an engineering degree are ideal, alongside excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to diverse stakeholders.
Language: Proficiency in English is required, both spoken and written.
Experience Level: Minimum of 10 years of experience.
Technical Knowledge Required:
- Deep understanding of data centers and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with Eaton / Schneider / Siemens / GE equipments and medium to low voltage equipment.
- Knowledge of high voltage electrical networks and specific equipment like Premset, MCSET, PIX, Sepam, Micom, Easergy, Blokset, Okken, Prisma.
- Proficiency in standards such as ANSI/TIA-942, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO 50001, Tier Classification System, IEEE 802.3, ASHRAE TC 9.9, Data Center Design and Implementation Best Practices, NFPA 75, NFPA 70, and Green Grid.
- Skilled in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Acrobat.
