What You'll Do:

As a Senior Business Director EMEAI (m/f/d), you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the regional growth strategy to deliver profitable and sustainable business growth. This entails driving sales team effectiveness, developing growth pipelines by taking a customer-centric approach and closely working with supply chain, procurement, R&D, and manufacturing stakeholders to achieve business objectives and deliver on financial target. Reporting into the Vice President of Engineered Polymers you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact Lubrizol’s success by owning profit & loss for the region Europe, Middle East, Afrika and India (EMEAI).

What We're Looking For:

  • Drive revenue, optimize spend and ensure continued profitable growth of the EMEAI Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) business.
  • Identify, scope and manage multiple strategic projects relative to Sales and New Business Development (NBD).
  • Own the EMEAI business pipeline and align Sales and NBD to match or overcome Lubrizol’s strategic plan targets.
  • Develop and maintain a view of market dynamics in the industry, including ongoing evaluation of opportunities to create new value.
  • Influence and gain acceptance of leaders internal and external to Lubrizol through effective communication, relevant and insightful analyses, and creative thinking.
  • Lead, manage and coach the EMEAI Sales and NBD organization - create a vision, set goals, and define a strategy for achieving objectives and continuously improve the team’s talent position.
  • Facilitate business problem solving through establishing strategic context, developing structured hypotheses, performing detailed analyses, synthesizing insights, and aligning to execution plans, leading to recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop economic models to evaluate new business initiatives or in support of understanding the size, growth, and evolution of markets in which we do business, doing so with imperfect data.
  • Establish strong relationships with industry experts and customers, proactively supporting the commercial team in identifying new opportunities and expanding our value proposition and market influence.
  • Serve as part of the Engineered Polymers Leadership team, providing input on strategic business issues.
  • Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Graduated in Polymer Technology, Material Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or adjacent field (preferred)
  • 8+ years of business leadership experience working across large, cross-functional teams in a global organization.
  • 3+ years in a role with direct responsibility and accountability for business profitability, with demonstrated ability to evaluate and execute opportunities which improve business results.
  • 3+ years of experience effectively leading a team to accomplish results. Proven results in talent development.
  • Knowledge or experience in the plastics industry and experience in leading marketing research/competitive analysis would be a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision making on decisions with significant impact to bottom line.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
