Job description & main responsibilities :

- Manage local purchasing demands according to corporate procedures in order to ensure OTIF (on time and in full) supply at an optimal price, (internal) cost and quality.
- Supports Category Managers with implementing corporate contracts locally and, in collaboration with Category Managers, identifies and executes local and/or regional purchasing projects
- In close collaboration with supply chain and the business, captures the local requirements and drafts the necessary term sheets and specifications.

Builds and maintains a professional network with important local suppliers.
Based on short term needs and if not covered by corporate contracts, searches for suppliers and negotiates local contracts and/or spot purchases for specific (non-)raw materials and services.
- Completes the appropriate tools with the correct information regarding spot purchases and global and/or local contracts and assures necessary call-offs and/or orders are created in the appropriate tools.
- Keeps an overview on all necessary information of deliveries ( certificates, delivery notes, complaints, …).
- Acts locally as the extension of the Category Managers, ensures all purchasing operations are taken care of, verifies invoices regarding price agreements, approves invoices and analyzes
and reports realized savings.
- Builds and maintains a professional network with important local suppliers.
- Translates corporate procedures to local procedures and/or work instructions for procurement activities at the own plant, communicates them to all parties involved (including 3rd parties)
and ensures compliance.
- Performs periodical supplier reviews and optimizes supplier performance by capturing and reporting non-conformities and/or claims, implementing and following up on corrective actions,
verifying invoices, etc.
- Keeps his/her know-how and expertise up-to-date, stays informed with evolutions in his/her domain of expertise and shares know-how with internal colleagues.
