IT Process Manager

Division: Technology Management Services (TMS)

The Technology Management Services (TMS) Division contributes to the transformation of Euroclear's activities through People & Communication, Sourcing & Partner Management, Technology Business Management and Partner Relationship Management.
 

  • Leads the improvement of a set of existing and new IT processes (like organizational change, project management, product delivery, …) as well as the associated products and services.
  • This is accomplished by acquiring a thorough understanding of these processes, products, services, and the corresponding contractual commitments, by supervising the existing IT processes and by advising improvements of these IT processes.
  • The role is conceptual in nature and responsible for continuous improvement.
  • Typically clarifies how people should work together in (cross) functional processes or sophisticated processes or in handling products. Advises line management about efficient implementation and optimization of processes or products and the introduction of new processes or products.
  • Role and Responsibilities of the IT process manager include:

  • Participates in workshops with practitioners to define the process evolution.
  • Pro-actively or upon request orchestrates business or technical justification for the implementation of IT process improvement and optimization actions, including but not limited to SDLC, Technology, Security processes.
  • Provides input, follows-up, progresses and/or manages the implementation of improvement and optimization actions.
  • Ensures efficient and correct process maintenance.
  • Documents processes to meet contractual requirements, control objectives and cost savings. 
  • Documents updates required into structured processes, activities, tasks and communicating about it through forums, training sessions.
  • Identifies standard processes and applies these to meet efficiency and cost objectives. Applies measurements to demonstrate that these objectives are met.
  • Is recognized by the organization as a reference for process management and uses this expertise to supervise and improve a set of companywide, sophisticated and critical processes.
  • Specifically,

  • Contributes to the evolution of the practices & methods for the technology processes with the user group and practice leads.
  • Analyse requests coming from both internal and external demands for impacts on the processes. External demands include the regulatory requirements to which Euroclear needs to comply.
  • Assists Process Owners in writing out the evolutions in processes in structured form according to the process management catalogue and data model.
  • Identify and describe the activities, tasks, work products, roles, ceremonies, templates, guidelines for the evolutions.
  • Actively participates to workshops with representatives from the user group to co-create improvements on the process.
  • Work with the tooling teams owning the technology platforms used in the user community to request and validate evolutions to the tools.
  • Assess and perform the change management required for the evolutions, communication, and training needs for the impacted user community.
  • Define the roadmap of evolutions for the process together with the process owner.
  • Actively participates to the IT practice board organized by the process owners and divisional practice leads.
  • Respond to requests from regulators and auditors both in written and orally, researching and providing the vital and requested evidence.
  • Contribute to the management of the risks raised for the process, help in identifying action plans and implementing the actions with the user group.
