Finance Functional Analyst
As a Finance Functional Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between finance and technology, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of financial systems and processes. You will collaborate closely with finance teams, IT professionals, and stakeholders across various departments to streamline workflows, enhance financial reporting capabilities, and drive business performance.
Responsibilities
Lead or participate in the implementation, customization, and integration of financial systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, accounting software, and other related platforms.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth deployment and configuration of financial applications, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
Gather and analyze business requirements from finance stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
Document functional specifications, user stories, and workflows to guide development and configuration efforts.
Develop test scenarios and conduct thorough testing of financial systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Work closely with end-users to validate system functionality and address any issues or discrepancies identified during testing phases.
Provide training and support to finance users on system functionality, processes, and best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for troubleshooting system-related issues and inquiries.
Extract, transform, and analyze financial data to generate insights and support informed decision-making across the organization.
Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor business performance and identify trends or areas for improvement.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting financial systems and processes.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance system capabilities, and drive operational efficiencies within the finance function.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
Proven experience working in a finance-related role
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in financial software applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
