About the role
The role of Business and Financial Analyst within Commercial Finance Transformation plays a crucial part in analysing financial and business data, providing insights, and supporting decision-making processes within the organisation. The role will focus on 3 main Divisional Initiatives: Implementation and enhancing of the Sales forecasting tool which will further support the demand planning element of Supply Chain, centralised Price Database creation and Intercompany transactions impact within the SMI (Sales, Marketing and Innovation) organisation.
You will be responsible for bridging the gap between I&T, Finance and the Sales community using data analytics to assess KPIs, processes, determine and document requirements, deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders.
The role will engage with business owners and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value, under the supervision and guidance of the Project Lead.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
Analyse business operations and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements (As-Is and To-Be), perform gap analysis and business impact assessment at all organisational levels
Identify and prioritise business and functional requirements within the context of the Project Phases / Sprints following the to-be process
Define business and functional test scenarios and coordinate business testing
Be the to-go person for detailed explanations on the requirements, definitions, access rights and implementation
Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including revenue and profitability reports, as well as other key financial metrics
Design operational and financial reports by connecting several data sources and tools, highlighting key performance indicators, variances against budget/forecast, and actionable insights. Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and tailored to the needs of stakeholders.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree path (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.) preferred but not required
Experience in financial analysis, business analysis, planning, or related roles
Experience in business process designs / re-design projects – demonstrated results from independently driving and implementing processes; creating business requirements documentation, process mapping and KPIs analysis is essential
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, planning tool, and BI reporting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial and business information to non-financial stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
