Job Description

The Director, Inbound Solutions, Supply Chain Europe will be an integral member of the European Supply Chain Leadership team, leading all Inbound Solutions Supply Chain activities across the European region. The position will be responsible for ensuring the vision and safety differently” culture is driven across the function and that the strategy adapts to the conditions of the market while ensuring compliance, service and product quality and the most cost-effective solutions for Plant Operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Participates in the definition of European Supply Chain strategy and policies and ensures adoption and implementation within the geographical area of responsibility.

  • Defines and implements the actions from the European Supply Chain strategy and aligns with the needs and requirements of the European Inbound Solutions business in collaboration with the European Inbound Solutions Leadership team.

  • Member of the European Inbound Solutions Leadership team.

  • Lead and embrace on Integrated Business Planning for the remit.

  • Be an ambassador of change across the Region and function. Lead and implement change programmes, develop and coach team members to embrace and embed sustainable change.

  • Embrace mindset and delivery in Supply Chain excellence.

  • Support and delivers in Transformation and 4-year Planning.

  • Determines and manages the European Inbound Solutions Supply Chain budget to deliver the expected service.

  • Lead the European Supply Chain strategy and broaden our network capability for new/existing product lines including plastic pallets, IBC’s and liners.

  • Manage Production Sites: working with the central Procurement team finding suppliers, negotiate contracts.

  • Manages any 3rd party subcontractors to ensure they deliver within their contractual terms in a safe and sustainable manner.

  • Coordinates with the Central Carrier Management team the work with transportation suppliers to develop and implement transportation solutions.

  • Oversees the management of stock balance & maximise asset productivity at Plants.

  • Decide on investment for new sites according to Plant Network Optimization.

  • Develop site – capacity planning, increasing productivity & existing network.

  • Develop and manage team while decreasing labour turnover.

  • Supervise compliance with health & safety regulations (Zero Harm)

  • Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years HSE senior management experience with global program experience.

  • 8 to 10 years management experience in Supply Chain industry in fast-paced company, pref FMCG

  • Experience in leading and achieving results in pan-European, multi-site, multi-lingual teams & significant-size Manufacturing sites

  • Ability to operate effectively across a matrix and wide range of leadership styles, being an effective influencer and influential leader.

  • Possess credibility as a leader in strategic, financial, and operational discussions with internal & external stakeholders.
