Data Analyst

Being part of the Data Analyst team, you will transform the data into meaningful and actionable insights with a specific focus on understanding the customer behaviour. This should support the strategic decision making for CBU leaders.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Answer business analytics requests and translate them into data requirements:Identify the “Why” behind each business request (the question is not “what do you want to receive / see” but “what is your business challenge?”)Based on a first workload assessment, deliver a realistic target planning previously challenged by the Senior Data AnalystIdentify the data needed to answer the request from multiple data sources (internal and external) and implement the most appropriate statistical method / data modelIf needed, cover the data gap through an IT demand in order to complete our data modelPerform the analysis (Profiling / Perf. analysis, Before/After analysis, Dashboards…)Complete the story with other insights coming from other studies when relevantPresent the results to internal customers.
  • Design, build and run (complex but user friendly and visual) dashboards to allow business units to monitor and manage the execution of the marketing plan and define potential corrective actions
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency by developing data marts and procedures that further automate the delivery of recurrent reports and analyses, from data extraction to visualization.
  • Contribute to improving structurally the quality and the freshness of the data sources by communicating quality issues to data engineers and data governance manager and monitoring the progress
  • Influence the data ingestion roadmap (to explore new data sources and cover new business needs)
  • Extra-mile: Suggest new types of data analyses and visualization methods and contribute to the data acculturation of the company.
  • Your profile:

  • Diploma in a quantitative area: engineer, commercial engineer, economics, statistics, mathematics, econometrics. Orientation in computer science is a plus
  • First successful experience (1-2 years) in customer analytics in the marketing context
  • Knowledge in Data visualization and data analysis (Power BI, Python)
  • Good at visualizing data and making impactful presentations
  • Analytical thinking / Problem solving skills
  • Self-learning and hacking spirit
  • Stress resistant
  • Team player
  • Fluent English, French and/or Dutch will be a plus
