In this role, you will play an important role in the design and analysis of software projects with a high level of technical experience. We need someone excited about solving problems and being able to juggle multiple items in a day, taking joy in being very efficient in driving items through a pipeline process. Primary responsibilities may include planning, designing, developing and testing software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Other responsibilities may include solving current reported problems and finding opportunities to resolve those with long-term solutions.

User Experience
Incorporates best practices and corporate standards into UI designs.
Understands how keeping the design simple and usable despite underlying technical complexities impacts user experience.
Demonstrates ability to work with other UI-minded individuals (e.g., Product) and makes alternative recommendations as appropriate.
Backlog Ownership
Helps Prioritize backlog according to product vision, market value, and ROI.
Research issues and Service Requests quickly and efficiently, moving necessary items to the FR backlog.
Help create release plans for each of the teams' major releases.
Stakeholder Management
Aligns definition of done with stakeholder expectations to assure best decisions are made for both Wex Health and its partners.
Product Proficiency
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the primary product domain and downstream effects of changes to it.
Works with other development roles (vertically within the team) as well as outside of the development organization (horizontally across org) to independently communicate vision, explain functionality, and answer questions.
Provide input, reproduce, and brainstorm workarounds to Service Requests as needed.
Partner Management
Builds relationships with partners to provide functionality that meets their essential needs.
Participates in user experience tests to collect feedback and ensure designs meet our partners' business needs.
Requirements Gathering
Delivers clear and concise requirements for other development roles to consume.
Creates detailed Operational Documents related to their features for the organization to leverage.
Identifies risk and scope creep through effective requirement gathering leveraging FDDs.
Works collaboratively with other BAs and/or Product Managers to ensure understanding of business need for requested functionality and assist in defining scope (MVP, etc).
Works closely with development to ensure designs are secure, performant, and reliable, meeting core technology requirements.
Leadership
Helps guide team's direction through understanding product vision
Facilitate team meetings as needed, including scrum master ceremonies if applicable to the team.
Coordinates work efforts and communicates priorities across teams to assure successful execution and delivery of commitments.
Actively participates and facilitates team conversations and feature discussions.
Experience you’ll bring
2-4 years of relevant experience typical in this role
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience with TFS, Wireframing, Use Cases, requirements gathering, accessibility
Working knowledge of Agile Software Development
Effectively work in a distributed team
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
