Business Information Systems Business Analyst – PPM (Drug Development)

Scope of the job

As Business Analyst you are responsible for identify, design and document business processes and applications requirements belonging to the area of interest. The business analyst will serve as link between business stakeholders and BIS (Business Information Systems) teams by facilitating communication and determining objectives that align with stated and unstated business need. 
As Business Analyst PPM your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that PPM projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

Role

• Gather business requirements using common techniques such as interviews, questionnaires, prototyping, document analysis, brainstorming
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of PPM projects
• Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management when necessary
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Collaborate with BIS Managers on roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Identify specific business opportunities. Shape business requirements by making recommendations and challenging them by suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. 
• Help improve the quality of IT services by analysing the core business needs
• Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate trade-offs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
• Translate conceptual user requirements into precise, detailed functional requirements.
• Work with business stakeholders and delivery teams (internal or external) to prioritize requirements.
• Help resolve competing priorities among stakeholder groups facilitating discussions. Facilitate escalation of issues where appropriate.
• Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
• Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions. Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly met.
• Define and participate in user acceptance testing process.
• Document current processes and models in order to understand inefficiencies or gaps. Identify automation opportunities. Act as a liaison between the solution provider and the business

Job requirements

• Good Understanding of Development organisation
• Proven experience as Business Analyst, Project Manager experience will be considered a plus
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Biopharmaceutical Development functions.
• Digital background preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Proven ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
• Previous experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
• Experience with RIM, eTMF, CTMS and Quality platforms, preferably Veeva.
• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
• Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage delivery teams and business partners to achieve desired outcomes.
• Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a simplified manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools.
