Automation Engineer - Internship

HYDROGEN IS THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY!
Plastic Omnium has set up a dedicated Division “New Energies division” focusing on Hydrogen Storage, Fuel Cell Stack and Integrated Hydrogen Systems.

We are searching for an Automation Engineer Intern to work in our Hydrogen Pressure Vessel Development Centre in Genk, Belgium for a period of 6 months.

MISSION
Define, implement and validate composite manufacturing equipment in order to support the industrialization of highpressure vessels according to the New Energies business plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Install, test and validate new equipment into the HPV production lines.
  • Propose and implement innovative solution that aim to cost and time reduction.
  • Support PLC development
  • Support automation development
  • SKILLS
    Technical Skills

    • Machine hands-on

    • Good knowledge on mechanics and automation

    • Ability to collect, maintain and analyze complex data

    • Robotics experience is a plus (KUKA, ABB Robotics)

    Software
    • Solidworks
    • Python
    • Microsoft Excel

    Soft Skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
    • Must be flexible, dependable, and creative

    Linguistic Skills
    • Must be fluent in English.
    • French and/or Dutch is a plus.
