About Barco Enterprise

The Barco Enterprise division is at the forefront of innovation in the context of Barco’s digital transformation. Specifically, the Connected Media group develops a state-of-the-art, professional cloud software platform to securely process and distribute real-time, high-end media from a large number of sources towards a multitude of visualization points. To strengthen our Nexxis OR (operating room) R&D team in Kortrijk we are looking for a committed Software Development Expert . The team is responsible for developing, monitoring and improving the quality of software that is developed for the Nexxis OR system.

Function

The Software Development Expert develops software that runs either on our embedded devices or on PC platforms. He/she is responsible for creating high-quality SW deliverables in a timely manner, according to the state-of-the-art software methodologies and as part of the global solution software architecture, and for creating the automated test-cases to verify the quality of the software. As he/she will work in a medical device environment, processes apply to comply with the regulatory standards.
The Software Development Engineer collaborates closely with the Software Development Engineers of our customers, which is critical for success. He/she will be confronted with a large range of technologies, development languages, network elements, hardware components, etc.

What is Nexxis?

Nexxis is our video, audio and data-distribution system for the integrated OR. It is an IP-based, low-latency fiber-optic networked solution and combines various software and hardware building blocks that have to collaborate and integrate in a seamless way. Our customers integrate our product into their operating room solution, in order to deliver to the hospitals all over the world.
