About the Role
About the role
We are looking for a senior business analyst to join the SWIFT Translator squad. Our product, SWIFT Translator, is a cornerstone of the global financial messaging system, used to validate and translate trillions of dollars’ worth of financial messages all over the world. Translator allows financial systems to interoperate better and financial institutions to do business faster and more reliably.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary agile squad of skilled and motivated professionals. Your role will help us grow the value of our product to enable banks, central banks, and market infrastructures to better manage a wider variety of message formats and standards.
Embodying an Agile Software Development mindset, you will work closely with internal and external customers to:
Write detailed business requirements and acceptance criteria.
Refine, document, and maintain detailed functional requirements.
Produce and maintain conceptual models of your solution (business and functional.)
Constantly grow and learn. Engage with relevant business and technology trends in your areas of responsibility and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to your customers.
You will be responsible to your squad on key activities such as:
Supporting your Product Owner and other analysts to translate business/functional requirements into detailed Product Backlog Items and acceptance criteria.
Supporting your developers and testers to understand, implement, and test your requirements.
Providing expert technical and business knowledge during all phases of development to help resolve unique and complex business problems, within real-world technical constraints.
Key Experience required for the role:
University degree in Computer Science, electronic engineering or equivalent.
Great communicator: You are an active listener with a consultant mind-set. You can build and present impactful presentations. You can understand and distil complex ideas and express them in an understandable way. Your English language is excellent, and any other languages are also helpful, of course.
IT afficionado: You understand and enjoy engaging with IT concepts. You can discuss with technical and business teams to co-create a solution that respects technical and budgetary constraints. You understand data modelling concepts, and have experience with modelling notations (e.g., UML, BPMN).
Customer-oriented and quality-oriented mind-set: You are open-minded, curious, and solution-focused.
You are a true team player, but you can also work autonomously and remotely from some of your colleagues.
Your experience with the most commonly used Agile collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) will be a distinct advantage, as might any past software development experience.
