Industrial IT Support Engineer

As an Industrial IT Support Engineer, you will:

- Analyze, design, test, implement, manage and troubleshoot (existing) Industrial IT computers in order to ensure that the performance and availability of the production and measuring devices are maintained to the highest standards and that maximum productivity is achieved.

- Play a supporting role in the production continuity by minimizing downtime of the industrial PC’s, by being available for production for unforeseen issues and being proactive by installing redundant material.

  • Day to day contact with/onsite at production
  • Understand the CNC operations in order to be able to intervene quicker and more efficient.

    • - Support, monitor, administer and install key software for production or measuring devices in order to ensure that performance and availability is maintained and escalate if necessary.

  • Monitoring systems on regular base, as described in procedures
  • Respond to (escalated) help desk issues
  • Responsible for antivirus & backup administration and patch management for the production and measuring devices.
  • Work together with IT Business Application team regarding SQL

    • - Support, monitor, administer and install key hardware for production and measuring devices in order to ensure that performance and availability is maintained and escalate if necessary.

  • Installing and supporting workstations in order to provide the necessary material to the users
  • Respond to (escalated) help desk issues
  • (Create and) maintain images in order to standardize installations
  • Asset management
  • Gather and analyze data from production and measuring devices in order to monitor the status together with the Maintenance department

    • - Advise, participate and/or lead Industrial IT (Infrastructure) projects under the responsibility of the infrastructure manager and in cooperation with the Maintenance, Technology and Industrialization department.

  • Will take the lead in Industrial IT Infrastructure projects under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Advise and participate in the establishment of the project budget

    • - Provide technical expertise and training and develop documentation regarding Industrial IT to the users, the IT department or external partners.

  • Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures
  • Develops documentation, including user guides
  • Advising on technical issues
  • Availability of the industrial PCs (limit machine interruptions due to Ind PC issues)
  • Quality of service: first time right
  • Satisfaction of customers (internal users)
  • Maintain knowledge base
  • Ticket resolution in the production area

    • Profiel

    Education: Industrial (electromechanical) Engineer or equivalent by experience

    Language: Dutch and/or French and English; German is a plus

    Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 year experience in a similar role.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Experience in an industrial environment is a plus
  • Basic knowledge in CNC operations is a plus
  • SQL knowledge is a must
  • Autonomous
  • Experience in IT project working is a plus
  • Conceptual thinking ability
  • Service minded
  • Result oriented approach
  • Good communication skills
