PRIMARY FUNCTION:

As a designer in the Grain Crop flow team, you will work on cleaning systems or harvester drivelines for all combines, either for the New Holland or Case IH brand.
You will design combine harvester drive line or cleaning system components that meet functional performance, quality, reliability and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design combine driveline or cleaning taking into account durability, manufacturability, serviceability, functionality and cost
  • Root cause analysis and analytical approach to find solutions for specific problems/issues.
  • Owner of different subtasks within projects and responsible for the design, correct execution, follow up and final delivery according to targets, in cooperation and communication with the global product engineering organization.
  • Active participation in design reviews, FMEA’s, manufacturing reviews.
  • Good understanding and feel for quality and cost from an early phase during design activities. Cooperation with (advanced) manufacturing, purchase, SQE to achieve this.

    • QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or equal through experience.
  • Strongly motivated with high interest and experience in mechanical design.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch language (written and spoken).
  • Experience with CAD systems (Creo) and preferred Teamcenter.
  • Good knowledge of basic physics and willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of finite elements analysis and being able to apply them during design phase.
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Problem solving attitude.
